I've got one of those magic electronic scales that does all sorts of calculations for you, and one of them is bone density. Ever since I've started weighing on those scales, 18 months ish, my bone density has read as 17.7. Every other reading, weight, water, percentage body fat, all fluctuate even between me getting off and getting straight back on the scales, but not my bone density. However, on Friday, it suddenly went up to 17.9.
Am I right in thinking that this is a good sign, and something to be expected on a proper low carb diet? |

I wouldn't get too excited, but trending in that direction is should be typically good.
As I understand it, if you are using a Salter analyzer scale, that is the %age of your bodyweight that is bone. That seems kind of heavy to me, frankly. But that's a gut reaction.

No idea. Got the scales from Avon and lost the instructions ages ago:-) I remember that at the time I got them though, 17.7 was reasonable for a woman of my age.
